The Two Doors

I hear the knocking

The door on my left is rattling off of the hinges from the force of the knocks

The door to my right is steady and courteous

These are the doors of my life

Which one will I give heed to?

The door on my left is the knocking of my corrupt flesh

The beckoning for me to enter into temptation

The door on the right is the sound of my dear savior

He is calling me to enter into His rest

He gently whispers through the door I AM with you

He comforts me and tells me He is my strength

He tells me He too was tempted and overcame

He reminds me He is there when I call

Thank you Jesus for knocking at the door of my heart

Thank you Jesus for opening the door so I can come into your rest
