The wounds must be healed before the whole armor can be applied.

I need to lay it down and not rely on my own strength.

I keep saying i can do this relying on my own strength to overcome my temptations.

Only faith in His power of deliverance will work.

The desires of the flesh outweigh the desire to overcome them through my own strength.
Galatians 5:17 KJV For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Faith in Jesus and his cleansing of your sins.

Fasting and prayer is the only way to get help to overcome.

Faith that He will give you strength to overcome when you call upon him.
John 15:5 KJV I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
You will not be tempted more than you can stand but the lord is faithful he will give you a way of escape.
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
It's so important to humble yourself and mourn over sin so it can be mortified.
2 Corinthians 7:10 BSB Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
Lay it all down at the feet of Jesus and ask for forgiveness.
Matthew 11:28 BSB Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
