His grace is the foundation of our faith.
His grace is the foundation of our faith. Salvation is not based on anything good in us or work we can do, but on the intrinsic goodness and grace of God.
By His grace, we are called through Jesus to be his peculiar people.
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;"
1 Peter 2:9
Faith alone makes us righteous before God.
Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness. Romans 4:3
Not our own strength or work, but we are made righteous through faith in His strength.
With His grace and mercy, He strengthens us through our faith in Christ, to accomplish the work He ordained for us from the foundation of the world.
"For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life." Ephesians 2:10
We are new creations in Christ, not of the old flesh, driven to do what that old man desires. But of the new man in Christ. No longer a servant to sin and unrighteousness but a servant of righteousness to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.
This is the way.
"Then the wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever." Daniel 12:3
So be alive with Christ. God was rich in mercy to deliver you from your former lusts; do not be drawn back into their bondage. Throw off the world and everything that will tempt you into sin. We are no longer to walk in the ways of the children of disobedience. But a newness of life.
Alive with Christ
1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,
2 in which you used to walk when you conformed to the ways of this world and of the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the sons of disobedience.
3 All of us also lived among them at one time, fulfilling the cravings of our flesh and indulging its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath.
4 But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,
5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved!
6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
7 in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
8 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life. Ephesians 2:1-10.
So have faith and assurance in God and His son Jesus because of the great examples of the witnesses that went before us.
The faith of Able, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, and Mary, who looked forward with faith to the coming of the Messiah. Hebrews 11
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3Consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
Hebrews 12:1-3
Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, and endure with faith because it's not you who lives but Christ in you.
Remember when you are reviled and persecuted you are blessed. Fight on Christian soilder.
"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
Matthew 5:10
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you." Matthew 5:11-12
You are the light of the world.
let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
The little light you have is a great light if Christ lives in you so let your light shine. God bless.
