God's word, the Ax to the root of sin.
Dearly beloved who are Christ’s Beloved.
Remember daily you have been bought with a high price, the precious blood of the lamb of God. With firm foundation in this truth, strike the root of sin that is the sin residing in your heart. Strike it with the word and with spirit(enthusiasm); the words of God and the words of His Only son Jesus, and his presence in you are your strength(The Holy Spirit and His word resides in you). We are weak but He is strong. We are made perfect in our weakness in submission to His word for his glory. Submitting to God is sure to is to claim a promise in faith of His saving grace that promise being, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”(James 4:7). Belief in His word and His strength, will this not give you grace from God? Not my will but yours be done. This is grace working in you by Him the author and i would say authority and perfector of that faith, Jesus.
Faith in His strength.
Jesus will be with you until the end and has been given all authority.
Amazing grace, Thank God for Jesus a friend of sinners.
It was true love to give His beloved Son, the prince of peace(Jesus) all authority. His authority gives us amazing grace because He stands between our sin and the Father. He is our covering when we fall short and our strength to bring us to sanctification. We dont go to a ruler in rags but you would want to present yourself clean to the good ruler. We need to first wash and repent and be given the appropriate robes to face the King. So you go to Jesus who takes those rags and clothes us with robes of His righteousness being our covering. We are justified by His sacrifice then he finishes the work He started in you. Part of the sanctifying work for you is done by His work of intercession in heaven on our behalf before the Father, by our prayer and the Holy Spirits utterances when we don’t know what to pray. The other means is through the Holy Spirit that gives you all the gifts to equip you to every good work.
So it would conclude, Our strength comes when we are spiritually connected to God through Jesus in prayer, praise, belief and service. Spiritual blessings come from seeking Him and when you seek Him in spirit and in truth, He will reveal Himself and be with you. This is a pure form of Grace that is when God is with you through the Holy Spirit. This is Christ strength in you, the Holy Spirit that He gave to His Bride his elect chosen before the foundation of the world gives you confidence in Him and His word. Swing the Ax of Gods word to that root. The sharp ax of truth that is sure to destroy the wayward inclinations of our heart(the root of sin).
"And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints"
- Ephesians 6:17-18 NKJV
We fight temptation like Jesus, with God's word(the sword) and above all with the shield of faith(Ephesians 6:16, defense to repel attacks of the enemy)
Take Jesus' example in the wilderness(Matt.4).
Tell the devil, i live by God's word alone.(vs.4)
Tell the devil not to test(Tempt) God. (vs.7)
***By breaking His will for you to stay obedient***
Tell the devil you don't serve him, you only serve God, and God alone.(vs.10)
We do this in Jesus name because,
We have faith in Jesus, He was made ruler by God over the whole of creation.
"All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” - Luke 10:22
"The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand." - John 3:35
"Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come forth from God and was going back to God," - John 13:3
God who was a man(Jesus) understands the battles we face. He lived in the flesh and was tempted and without sin.
Call on Him. He defeated your foe. Take courage and stand fast in Him. Take authority in His name with faith and strike the root.
Call out to Jesus! Ask Him to search you and to guide you to be more like Him; to live in truth and proclaim His good news(gospel) of life everlasting.
Psalms 139:23-24 Amplified Bible
”Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart; Test me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.”
And have faith. Because He can lead you. He has authority.
"And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth." - Matthew 28:18
Its His good pleasure to help you!
And forgive you when you fall short.
"As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us." - Psalm 103:12
Lay the Ax to the root and take courage the Lord of Hosts is with you!
Pray humbly and thankfully in confidence of Gods precious promises too strengthen your faith, increasing the joy you have in your heart for the sure reunion with your blessed Savior when all things will be made new.
